Process Control Systems, Inc. is an industry leader in speed monitoring systems. We manufacture Maxigard™ brand industrial products designed to monitor belt conveyors, bucket elevators, screw conveyors, rotary feeders as well as other types of material handling and processing equipment to prove rotation or indicate loss of rotation.  Maxigard™ products are flexible enough to fit a variety of applications and come backed with our five-year warranty.

Adjustable Speed Switches

Process Control Systems is an industry leader manufacturing high quality adjustable speed switches for challenging industrial applications. Our adjustable speed switches are designed to monitor the rotational speed of industrial equipment and provide a relay output that can be used indicate an under speed or over speed condition. The relay output(s) can be used to control interlocked equipment or as inputs to PLC’s or other control devices.

Zero Speed Switches

Process Control Systems produces high quality Zero Speed Switches for a variety of industrial applications. Maxigard™ Zero Speed Switches detect the presence or absence of rotational motion and provide a relay output proving rotation or indicating loss of rotation. The relay output(s) can be used to control interlocked equipment, or as inputs to PLC’s or other control devices.

Tachometers

Maxigard™ tachometers are used to measure the rotational speed of a shaft and display the speed in RPM or other engineering units such as FPM, GPM, etc. These systems can also be supplied for applications that require counting the shaft rotations.

  • Rotational speed (e.g. wheels or rollersmotors, shafts, fans or turbines)
  • Traveling speed (e.g. conveyors)
  • Length (e.g. wire, sheet products)

Speed Transmitters

Speed transmitters are designed to monitor the speed of a rotating shaft and convert the speed into an analog or digital signal. Analog signals include 4-20 mA or 0-10VDC outputs that are linear with changes in shaft speed. Digital signals include pulse outputs from 6-24VDC that can be converted to RPM or used to compute distance.

Zero Speed SwitchesUnderstanding Zero Speed Switches: A Comprehensive Guide
